Was One of the most fascinating, intriguing and memorable visits the Tenby area had to offer. We were one of the few that were indoors - a refuge in bad weather but best seen on a sunny day when was quieter!
Housed in an attractive 19th century chapel of rest in peaceful and unusual surroundings.
The founders Chris and Marion Batt opened Silent World to the public in May 1989 originally as an Aquarium and Art Gallery.
Over the years the collection grew, Silent World became home to marine life from around the Pembrokeshire coast and many exotic creatures.

Sadly we have had to close the Tenby Tourist side of the enterprise. After 22 years in the Chapel we struggled to accommodate the growing number of visitors on wet days and the large school groups.
We had hoped to open a brand new state of the art indoor visitor attraction incorporating Aquarium and exotic displays and have a seamless transition from
Silent World 1 to Silent World 2 !
All good things come to those who wait... we are still looking for a new site and are hopefull that we can provide Pembrokeshire with the indoor attraction it needs.
Mean while we are carrying on the Silent World ethos started by my father in 1989 and have launched a brand new business.
