It’s Spring………. You know what that means, mating and egg laying start in earnest. The Pythons started way back in Feb, Edie and Prince this year.
Cleo visited Stroppy for a short while and they seemed to get on fine…..
Rat snakes and Corns and also Terry and Olly have been full of the joys of spring, I must say it would be nice to have some baby Florida Kings and Taiwanese Beauty Snakes this year.
Unfortunately the Chameleon eggs laid earlier in the year have all collapsed, all is not lost they might lay another clutch.
One of James’s Corn Snake eggs looks OK it will be his first time !?
Hissy has come to stay with Great North Road again this year and we might introduce her to another male Cali King we have at home. I am hopeful for Mexi King Snake eggs although they are a bit late this year.
The Leopard Geckos have started laying, the Skinks have been chasing each other and the Dragon has been digging.

We hope you like our new Creepy Crawly corner, the beasts seem to have settled into it well, the Ants went a bit manic for a while at the end of March but have settled down now…….phew. We have a few new Spiders and are going to increase the Beetle and Mantis stock.

Please check out the Aquarium downstairs, there are some New displays……. Cling fish, Scallops and Urchin, Shark Nursery, Tree Frogs, Fire Bellied Toads and Salamanders.
We have a lot of tadpoles in our Pond tank and if you look carefully Dragonfly larvae. We had baby Bombina orientalis earlier in the year, more eggs due any day.
There are lots more beasts in the tanks, Russ has been out Grovelling on the resent spring tides. Most are Inverts, Brittle Stars, Shellfish, Worms, Spider Crabs, Urchins, Anemones, and some fish.

We have some nice new gifts and books in and are hoping to have a new coffee machine in soon. Sorry about the cobwebs the house spiders work far too quickly for me. We are looking for a “ handy/cleaner person” to help keep the spiders at bay!
