News - June/July 2010
We had a successful year in 2009 breeding Royal Pythons, Boas, Bearded Dragons along with Corn Snakes, King Snakes and Geckos.
Spring arrived a bit late at Silent World, we didn't haven many Easter Eggs! But our Snakes and Lizards did us proud and all laid at the end of May . We will hopefully have some new species in our Nursery at the end of July. Our nursery has young from last year, including:- Bull snakes, Mexican Black King snakes, A lovely selection of Californian King Snakes and Geckos.

Sadly Missed
- We have some very sad news for our regular visitors to Silent World. We have lost two members of our Silent World family. Both losses have been very hard to come to terms with.
- Joe our very wonderful African Grey parrot died in May. He had been poorly but his death was a terrible shock. I still find myself saving him treats and wanting to call out to him when I get to work in the mornings.
Teggi our Tegu had to be put to sleep recently he was "getting on a bit" and wasn't having a very good quality of life and had been a bit ill too.
We have a rememberance book at Silent World for visitors who want to share their memories of these two charactures.
On a Happier note - Chameleon eggs laid in January have just started hatching.
Snow Corn eggs have just started hatching too. - Our Yemen Chameleon has just laid more eggs.
